For over 100 years it has been running reliably day after day: the Ritten Railway (“Rittner Bahn”), as the narrow-gauge railway is affectionately called.

A ride on the Ritten Railway is an unforgettable experience—not only for train enthusiasts. Historic and modern locomotives run every hour or half-hour and connect Klobenstein with Oberbozen in 18 minutes. The railway is part of local public transport, just like the Ritten cable car, which takes you from Oberbozen to the provincial capital Bolzano in only 12 minutes—and, of course, back again. With the RittenCard, by the way, it’s free of charge.
